Project Overview:

In response to the COVID-19 pandemic, Autenti identified an increased demand among its clients for electronic identity verification services. The goal is to enable a fast and simple identity verification process for individuals signing credit or leasing agreements through the Autenti application.

We aim to create a functional prototype of a mobile web application that validates our design and business assumptions. Users will receive an email with a link to initiate the verification process and, upon successful verification, proceed to sign the contract.

Main UX Challenges:

How to verify identity in a simple
and swift manner?

How to confirm that the identity document truly belongs to the user?

How to effectively guide the user through the entire process?

Business Requirements:

The verification process must be quick and straightforward.

Users must verify their identity using an official ID card or passport.

The system must reliably ensure that the provided document belongs to the user.

Optimizing the Autenti User Experience

The user journey on Autenti begins with a seamless onboarding process that guides users through account setup and identity verification. Once onboarded, users enjoy a streamlined experience, effortlessly uploading documents, initiating signing workflows, and tracking approval progress—all within an intuitive and user-friendly interface.

To enhance usability and optimize the overall experience, we employed an Opportunity Canvas to identify key pain points, evaluate improvement opportunities, and ensure our solutions align with business goals. This structured approach allowed us to prioritize high-value features and drive impactful changes.

Additionally, card sorting was integral in refining the platform’s navigation and information architecture. By analyzing how users group and categorize functionalities, we ensured that features are logically organized, reducing friction and improving accessibility.

Results

The final version of the Autenti platform delivers a seamless, user-centric digital document workflow—from onboarding and identity verification to real-time approval tracking. Our approach, combining the Opportunity Canvas and card sorting, has resulted in an optimized interface that enhances productivity and streamlines document management. The continuous evolution of the platform ensures that user pain points are addressed and business objectives are met, culminating in a well-structured, efficient, and intuitive digital signing experience.
